Senior Night ceremony-6:30
Congratulations to the Gurdon Go-Devil Marching Band on their 2nd place finish at the State Marching Competition! Great job!!! Our students were out bright and early to give our band a fantastic send off!
Due to the extended maintenance on Highway 67, the cat bus going to Okolona in the mornings will take Hwy 53 to I30 to the Okolona exit in order to avoid the red lights on 67 to get the bus back to much more precise timing for the foreseeable future. Afternoon route will still use 67 to Hwy 51.
It has come to our attention that there were reports of questionable behavior from some members of our fan base during Friday night’s athletic event in Foreman. The events that occurred are currently under investigation by school officials and the appropriate law enforcement agencies. While this investigation is ongoing, we believe it is important to take this opportunity to remind our community of the standards that guide our actions.
Participation in school-sponsored athletics is an extension of the educational experience, and our behavior, whether on the field, in the stands, or online, should always reflect the values and expectations of the Gurdon School District. As stated in AAA policy, sportsmanship is not only an expectation for our student-athletes and coaches but also for our parents, fans, and community supporters. It must be taught, modeled, expected, and reinforced consistently in every education-based activity.
How we conduct ourselves in moments of high emotion says much about our collective character. We ask that all Gurdon fans continue to demonstrate the integrity, respect, and class that define what it means to be a Go-Devil. Together, we can ensure that our athletic events remain safe, positive experiences that reflect the true spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and community pride.

GURDON! We need your help! Our clothes closet is running low. The items that we need most are socks, underwear and jogging pants - all sizes are needed but xs-xl adult sizes are the biggest need. These items are one of the most-needed but least donated items for families in need. There will be a donation box placed in each school office by the end of the week - this November lets stock up our clothes closet for our students in need!
Our teachers and staff are as sweet as Halloween candy, so Mrs. Hart surprised them with a mobile caramel apple bar! What a SUGAR RUSH!! 💜💛
