Mr. Jeremy Poole, Education Program Coordinator with the State Department kindly took some time during his safety inspection tour of our campus to speak with Lumber Grading students. Mr. Poole shared about how important it is for students to learn technical skills and how they will help them later in life. Our dedicated maintenance team also spoke about the need to be flexible and open for training to improve career opportunities. Gurdon CTE is grateful for their time and commitment to our students!

New dental enrollments at the Wellness Center are on hold until 2026 while DHS works to implement new reimbursement rates that passed into law this year. If you requested to receive a new patient dental enrollment packet for your student, it will be sent to you when enrollments are opened back up!
Jonah Jester was awarded the week 5 Farm Bureau MVP ball. Jonah had two rushing touchdowns, threw for two touchdowns, and picked up 2 interceptions on defense in the 47-7 win over Lafayette County.

Thursday – “Decades Reign: Through the Years We Reign”
Pick a decade and dress the part—1950s, 70s, 80s, 90s/2000s.
We’ll also welcome alumni for a special “Legacy Walk” leading into the pep rally on Thursday, October 23. Alumni who would like to participate in the Legacy Walk will meet in the GHS Student Center at 9:15 a.m.
