Anything with a lithium-ion battery— phones, laptops, e-bikes, power tools —can become a fire hazard if it’s not charged safely. Always use the charger that came with the device or one approved by the manufacturer. If the cord only works when you bend it just right, it’s time to replace it. Charge Into Fire Safety for Fire Prevention Month.

Mr. Jeremy Poole, Education Program Coordinator with the State Department kindly took some time during his safety inspection tour of our campus to speak with Lumber Grading students. Mr. Poole shared about how important it is for students to learn technical skills and how they will help them later in life. Our dedicated maintenance team also spoke about the need to be flexible and open for training to improve career opportunities. Gurdon CTE is grateful for their time and commitment to our students!
